Welland Park

Last weekend my wife left me in charge of my child and, far from being the daunting prospect that you might imagine, it was an absolute joy! My wife meets up with friends in the week and they visit local parks and playgrounds with the masses of children that they all have. They regularly visit Broughton Park, Knighton Park and Willow park as the play areas are really good. However, as I was in charge, we travelled slightly further afield and wasn’t I glad that we did! I knew that there was a park at Welland Park (hence the name!) but had only ever visited the school there. Wow, what a place! A recent grant of £300,000 has enabled Market Harborough to create the most amazing park I’ve ever seen. It is an absolute hoot and completely free. I thoroughly recommend a visit there during the holidays.
